Looking back on our first year

Since finishing our hot tub deliveries a few days before Christmas we have had a bit of time to put our feet up and reflect on the past year. When we officially opened our new hot tubs business in February, no-one could have predicted the global impact of the COVID-19 virus. And just a few short weeks later France and most of Europe was in lockdown. Almost every family and business that we know has been affected in one way or another, and we count our blessings everyday that our family and friends have stayed well.

Customer service

From a business perspective, we are only dependent on our supplier delivering on time to our depot. The Hot Tubs In France team does all the planning, delivery and installation at the customer's home, or business address. Fortunately, with the exception of one delayed supplier delivery, we have been able to stick to our schedule and maintain our high-standard of customer service. We know that this has been appreciated by our customers because they have shared their feedback. And they have told us how their tubs have benefited their business, as well as their personal wellbeing.

Government guidelines

Who knows what 2021 will bring. Even if I had a crystal ball I'm not sure that I would believe it at the minute. Some small businesses, including our own, can continue to operate at present as long as they follow strict government guidelines. The French government and health organisations regularly update these and will probably do so again in the New Year.

Until we receive new instructions we will continue to ensure that deliveries to our customers' properties are safe, hygienic and as 'contact-free' as possible. And until the end of the crisis period, we will wear masks whenever we are in close proximity to other people. We also ask our customers to respect the social distance between us.

Upcoming events

After consulting the hosts we have decided that we should continue to plan for our upcoming Open Day event. This is because it's easier to postpone than start madly advertising a few days before. It's also better for the lovely couple who are allowing us to set up on their property. In this instance the hosts are Nigel and Debbie Lawson. They are the lucky owners of the fabulous 19th century 'Chateau Gioux', which you might have seen earlier this year on Channel 4's 'Escape to the Chateau: DIY'. The Hot Tubs In France event is scheduled for January 24th and we'll provide more details about it in our next blog, along with the dates of other events in the diary. So even if for some reason we do have to postpone, at least you will have found out a little bit more about this gorgeous chateau, and how it came to be included on this very popular TV programme.

Keep up to date

We have already had several enquiries from business owners asking if we will be doing another summer Hot Tubs On Tour or attending other events. It's definitely something we are planning so fingers-crossed, we will all soon be able to get back to normal. If you would like to host one of our events, please get in touch. It's a good opportunity for people to 'try before they buy' and event hosts get a great discount if they buy a tub from us!

To keep up to date with news and events simply 'Subscribe' using the field below, or email us and ask to be added to our mailing list. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
