Chateau Gioux. Luxurious Limousin Chambre d’hote.
We don't think we could have found a better venue for our first hot tubs event of 2021. This gorgeous 19th century chateau and former hunting lodge is situated in Saint Pierre-Bellevue, 23460 in the 'Millevaches En Limousin Natural Regional Park'. The park covers an area of around 314,000 hectares and we just can't wait to get there to show off the Burford Deluxe tub on Sunday 24th January.
..this peaceful territory has plenty to enchant nature-lovers, with its deciduous forests, verdant meadows, rivers, lakes, peatlands, and dry moorland covered in heather.
Dream come true
Nigel and Debbie Lawson found the chateau of their dreams in 2018, and finally moved in in 2019. Prior to moving, Nigel had run a dairy farm in France in the 1990's and Debbie worked in the food industry, and had also worked on a farm in Yorkshire. Between them they have turned this former hunting lodge into a luxurious chambre d'hote offering their guests fine dining, superb accommodation, and a wonderfully tranquil location.
Romantic walks
The chateau is surrounded by acres of woodlands and lakes, so is perfect for couples looking for a romantic weekend away, a group of friends celebrating a special occasion, or just a stop-over whilst travelling through France. Whether you stay for a weekend or a week, you can make your stay as active or relaxed as you want. Because of the diversity of the area, activities close by include water sports, such as swimming, kayaking, sailing and fishing. In the winter you could even enjoy cross-country skiing or a snowshoe walk.
Escape to the Chateau
Fans of the Channel 4 programme 'Escape to the Chateau: DIY' might recognise Nigel and Debbie from last year's series. When they bought the chateau Debbie posted a picture to the programme's Facebook page and said they were hoping to move in the following year. Not long after one of the producers got in touch and asked if they'd be interested in appearing on the show. When asked about being on the show Debbie told 'Hello Magazine', "It was great and really interesting. Nigel found it a bit frustrating that I’m pushing him to do things, but being filmed does spur you on! It was quite hard to have the cameras there all the time, especially as we had guests, and lots of other things to do. But it does make you get things done and to the best of your ability too."
Staying Safe
Because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation we are being extra vigilant when it comes to the health and safety of anyone that we come into contact with. So we will be continuing to follow all the government's guidelines to keep everyone safe. This means that we can't allow people to try out the hot tub on the day, and everyone that attends must wear a mask and keep to the social-distancing rules. We think this can still be a great event because you can see the hot tub in the beautiful surroundings of this fantastic Chateau, ask us lots of questions and watch a demonstration. For anyone interested in attending please contact us, because we are more than happy to arrange a specific time for you to view individually, or in small groups. Obviously if there are any changes to the Covid-19 restrictions then the event will be postponed, but we will ensure that everyone is kept up to date.
