Put into Google Search Hot tub holidays France and within seconds it will return around 13,200,000 results. From ski chalets to campsites; from holiday villas to gites, glamping sites and luxury treehouses - all with hot tubs. Recent surveys suggest that holiday lets with hot tubs perform up to 54% better than those which don’t, and in the last 12 months Google insights reported 40,500 monthly searches for the phrase ‘hot tub breaks’ - an increase of 400% on previous years.

Memorable holidays

As well as doing a bit of internet research whilst sitting in the van on long distance deliveries, I've also been in touch with a few of our holiday business owners. I asked if they wanted to share their feedback and any comments they'd had from guests. Unsurprisingly, the general consensus is that holiday homes that provide the added luxury feature of a hot tub means guests have a more relaxing and memorable holiday.

And just to back that up, this is what Richard & Gill from Dreamcatcher's Lake told us

"Having a business in France is all about trying to stand out from the competition and having our ecofriendly wood-burning hot tub makes us do that. These are a few of the comments we've had from our customers:

"Can't wait to get in that bad boy".

"So hot this week it was great just to sit in it with no heat".

Wanted to have a hot tub for years and have finally convinced my husband to get one."

"Has done wonders for my poor circulation".

And last but not least, "Love to sit in your tub and watch the stars."

As small business owners we all know how significant positive reviews are, so it's important that your guests have the best holiday possible. From the snippets above it sounds like Dreamcatchers are doing just that - and have even managed to convince someone to buy a hot tub - I hope you recommended Hot Tubs In France!

Restful retreats

Set in 35 acres of private grounds, Maison de Lunel is a luxury retreat in the beautiful rural Lot region, south west France. It's in a perfect setting and they offer yoga and meditation, juice and detox retreats and complimentary massage treatments. (I almost booked myself in for a week!). Their Cotswold Eco Tub is perfectly at home in this stunning property, with incredible views across acres of open countryside.

Ross told us that the hot tub had been a huge success and they were pleased that they'd made such a wise investment.

"It has proved highly popular with guests particularly when they want to relax in the evening, also when the days have been a little too cool to take a dip in the pool.

The fact that we can offer our guests the hot tub is important to us as we believe it will enable us to extend our season - even in April and October guests will still be able to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of being in water.

We are so delighted that we went for the wood burning hot tub. Not only has it proved to be a real feature and talking point with guests, but it really looks very special in our natural setting and retreat environment." - Ross Beckley at Maison de Lunel

I'm lovin' it!

Barn conversions are extremely popular holiday locations because more often than not they are set in tranquil, rural locations. Owners thoughtfully retain some of the rustic beauty and original features, whilst also adding essential mod cons.

That's what we found when we visited Le Grange, in Tarn-et-Garonne. This is a wonderful south-facing property, not far from the pretty medieval market town of Saint Antonin Noble Val with a glorious swimming pool (and I must admit to having a little 'pool envy') perfect for their summer season guests! But the surprise was the new hot tub location.

The Glyme 2 seater tub we were delivering was going to a separate, idyllic wood cabin on the edge of the woodland. Aptly named 'The Little Owl' this beautiful cabin is set in its own grounds, away from the barn. The accommodation is spacious, cosy and comfortable - a bit like the Glyme!

It's the perfect restful retreat available all year round, very popular with honeymooners and couples just wanting to get away for a romantic weekend. Now with the new Glyme tub - exclusively for cabin guests - it's even more perfect. Just picture it - wonderfully warm and cosy in the winter and the ideal space for sunbathing and stargazing in summer.

"Our new tub is a serious upgrade from our previous tubs. It is ‘super-glam’, very quick to heat and fill, easy to clean and maintain (very important for the quick changeovers) and looks ‘the business’.

During this exceptionally hot summer our clients have been using it as a ‘cold tub’ to chill out, but we are very much looking forward to seeing how our guests enjoy the hot tub in the ice and snow which feels a long way off now! We might have snuck in there a few times ourselves which we would never have dreamt of doing with our old, much larger tub. To quote the great songsmith, Justin Timberlake, ‘I’m lovin’ it’! " - Jim, Le Grange.

Benefits of hot tubs for your holiday business

It's obvious from the feedback we've received so far that there are huge business benefits to be had from investing in a Cotswold Eco Tub.

  • Higher demand for holiday properties with hot tubs.

  • Potential to extend the holiday season

  • Gives your property an additional luxury feature

  • Stand out from your competitors

  • Great customer reviews - a happy customer is a returning customer.

Supporting small business

We want to promote as many great businesses as we can, so if you want to tell us about your business and whether having a hot tub and sauna has boosted bookings, please get in touch. We'll share the details in a new blog which will go out to all our subscribers, social media followers and on our Google profile. It's all great free advertising for your business!

Book a demo

The best time to start planning for next year's holiday season is NOW. Our next Open Day will be in Spring 2024, but if you'd like a demo sooner rather than later, we have a Burford Deluxe and Kingham Hydro tub set up at Hot Tubs HQ. We can answer all your questions and tell you about our great deals on wood-fired retreat packages.

Alternatively, if we are too far then we have LOTS of happy hot tub and sauna customers who are always keen to share their experiences and honest feedback. All you need to do is get in touch and we'll happily arrange everything for your private viewing. Happy Hot Tubbing!
