How to Choose the Right Hot Tub Size for Your Home or Gîte

This is a question we receive regularly: How to Choose the Right Hot Tub Size for Your Home or Gîte? And it’s a good question; sometimes you know, but sometimes you’re undecided on whether a 2-person tub is a good idea if you have friends or family you’d like to share with. And if you’ve got a gite – is an 8-person tub too much? Choosing a hot tub isn’t just about the style — size matters.

The right size will determine how comfortable your soaks are, how well the tub fits your garden, how easy it is to maintain and, importantly, if you run a gite, how appealing it is to guests. All our hot tubs are eco-friendly, use wood for heating, and some have electric heaters to help maintain temperature. So, which one is the perfect size for you?

2-person hot tub – Perfect for Couples or Solo Relaxation

A compact 2-person tub is ideal if you have a small garden, you want a quiet, private retreat, you don’t want to share, and you want low water consumption. These are best for couples, gites for two, singles, and small terraces. They heat up quickly and are perfect for evenings à deux.
Our model Glyme Eco Tub for two is perfect for your needs!

4–6 Person Hot Tubs — The Most Popular Family Size

This is the sweet spot for most homeowners and the most popular size. It’s perfect if you have family or friends who will join you. It’s also ideal for gites and holiday lets and is easy to heat and run.
We have several models that suit your needs in this range.

The Blenheim (4-5-person) is a hybrid hot tub, heated with economical, sustainable wood, but with an integrated electric heater to easily maintain water temperature. It also has a built-in cartridge filter, which means the water can be used for longer.

The Kingham (5-6-person) has air and hydro jets and a filtration system for extended water use.

The Burford (5-6 person) is our most popular model and has a dry bubble system and everything you need for a quality hot tub experience – and affordable.

7–10 person Hot Tubs – Ideal for family, friends & Gîtes

Large tubs create a real wow factor. They’re perfect if you want to share your hot tub with family or friends, or if you want your holiday rental to stand out.

If you want a premium look, have plenty of garden space, and frequent guests – this is for you.

And if you have a gite or rental property, this is the one your guests will love. They’re suitable for all regions, including snowy ski regions. They create memorable guest experiences and can help you get more rental bookings (everyone loves to share a photo on social media of their hot tub experience!)

The Moreton Hydro (7-10 person) is seriously luxurious and comes with an incredible range of features.

The Winchcombe (8-9-person) is a classic, affordable, and favourite with our customers.

All our hot tubs come in a range of colours and have a range of features and accessories, such as covers and steps.

Things to consider

If you’re not sure which size is right for you – just get in touch with us; Tim and I are always here to help. We’ll help you consider the size of the plot for the hot tub, making sure you’ve got enough walking space around it, a wide enough gate for delivery, and, if need be, discuss how to clear a way and, in some rare cases, organise a manitou to help manoeuvre the hot tub into position.

Choosing the right hot tub size isn’t just about how many people you can fit — it’s about how you want to use it.

Whether you’re dreaming of quiet evening soaks, family fun, romantic weekends, or creating an unforgettable guest experience at your gîte, there’s a perfect size for your needs.

A wood-fired hot tub is a long-term investment in comfort, wellbeing, and the beauty of your outdoor space — and choosing the right size ensures you’ll love it for years to come.
